More about budget gaming built
  1. If you need an OS you're better of buying a prebuilt. If you don't I can post a build.
  2. For $300 even with no OS in the budget, you won't really get any kind of gaming computer.

I was thinking pentium G3220 with a 260x, but not sure if that will be in the budget range

No i have a Windows 7 CD and im just into the parts for now.
  5. I don't think that is doable. An APU would be the only way to do it and then OP might be disappointed with the performance.

    something around 350 or 400... maybe. :/
  7. For $400 you can get a system to probably play games at medium-ish settings.

Should be fine for entry level gaming, you can definitely upgrade it later on.
  10. That is a solid build but it is almost $500 without mail in rebates, which take months to get back, if they even come back.

when i play games like BF4 will it lag? this build? or no?
  12. No it will not lag if you play at low or medium settings in single player but in online play, the CPU will cause lag, yes.

If you want to play BF4 I would recommend an athlon x4 750k and a fm2+ motherboard because BF4 REALLY needs 4 cores for multiplayer.

Fm2 motherboard giga? msi? but the psu? can i use the psu that RazerZ mention?
  14. Yes, get this CPU and motherboard if BF4 is what you want to play:

    https://pcpartpicker.com/part/amd-cpu-ad750kwohjbox

    https://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-a55bme

His PSU is overkill, but it will allow you to get a better GPU later down the road.

cool! i also have a Nvidia Geforce 560TI GPU (which im trying to decide if i should keep it. because i wanna built another System.
  16. That is a pretty good GPU. It would be fine for BF4 at medium settings.

If you keep that GPU you can definitely play BF4 with the right CPU. Using that GPU will let you get a FX 6300 or 8320( if you're near a microcenter) in the build

yeah, but wait oh crap.... i forgot i wanna have a 3 monitor too! i guess i need another gpu?
  19. IF you want to play on 3 monitors you are looking at spending $1000+ on the build alone.

Doubt craigslist will help unless you find some amazing deal. I would save up until you're ready to build a good gaming pc ( around $1000).

    Or use a single monitor.
  24. Do you want to game on 3 monitors or just game on 1 and have the others for work and other uses?

well i wanna see if i can do it on game on 3 monitors.

the person at Nvidia said i have to get like the GTX 660? for 3 monitors display.
  27. A gtx660 would struggle at lowest settings on 3 monitions. IT would not be playable. MINIMUM for reasonable FPS at medium settings on 3 monitors you NEED a gtx770 or gtx780 ideally. Even on one monitor a gtx770 cannot fully max bf4 in every single situation, so yo uwould probably be playing at a mix of medium and low with 3 monitors.

You are looking at MINIMUM $1000 to get a 3 monitor capable gaming build.

This is just for using 3 monitors period. not gaming on 3 monitors.

so for the gtx770 or 780 will it be good for the Asus
    A55BM-E?
  30. No, you will need an i5 or 8320 CPU minimum to support a gtx770 or gtx780. Neither of these work on that motherboard.

crap..... i guess i should sell my pc?

Here is the current Built i have

    Case: Cooler Master Storm Sniper
    Mobo: Gigabyte G41mT-S2P
CPU: Intel Quad Core Q6600 2.40GHz
    Ram: 4GB
    Windows 7 64bit
    Seagate 250 GB HD
    Geforce GTX560TI
    Nec Antec 520 W PSU.

    any changes here?
  32. That build will not be playing on 3 monitors anytime soon. Nor will it be upgrading for 3-monitor gameplay either.

Honestly, don't expect more than $250 for it though.

  37. I REALLY doubt you will get over $300.

If you really are hell bent on 3 monitor gaming, I would just wait and save up and then come back and make a new thread when you have minimum $1000 to spend on a rig.

No since they are different sockets. Like tinyvoices said, it would be best to come back when you have $1000+ and we can post a new build.
  41. No they are not compatible. You need an AM3+ motherboard for that CPU.
