Hello everyone! Today I've encountered a problem with my PC. I was playing and installed a gamed called Lineage 2 from a private server's internet link, when I installed it and started playing I noticed my PC was slower than normal and after the installation was done I also felt it slow, I realized something was wrong when I checked my PC stats and saw that it only had 4/8 GBs of RAM and 2.7/4 GBs of VRAM, I also did a little more searching and noticed that one of my RAM slots was down, I'm afraid if the components have been damaged and here's hoping its just the installation messing with some files or a virus that can be fixed, I'd gladly take any help.

I was about to start formatting but felt like giving this a try, thanks in advance!

PD. I tried running CCleaner's registry fix but it didn't worked, it only said there was something odd but it passed the fix.

EDIT: I meant its not recognizing the RAM card inside the slot!

Can you move the ram between slots? To see if it works in another slot.

I can do it as a last resource but I'm not really fond of hardware knowledge and afraid to damage something, is there any other way to know if the RAM card works? I'll do it if this is the only way though, thanks for your answer.

If you have 4 slots and you have two free you may have lost one slot on the board or you may have lost a ram module, this is the only way to find out.
I would start by removing one module and try starting if works then the other, then if one is bad leave the working one in its slot and move the other one to the free slots.

Only have 2 slots, I'll start doing it right now. Will keep you posted, thanks!

Hey! Well after changing the RAM modules the PC recognized them, maybe it was some dirt on the slots or something, what I don't understand is that the VRAM also seems fixed, thanks for the advice though it worked!
