Ok so i finally got just cause 2 to work on my new computer (used and older please don't bash it) and I had some very unpleasant results like lowest gfx with my native res of 1440x900 with a fps staying around 24 and peaking at 48. My setup is a Dell Precision T3400 with c2q q9550 5gigs ram and a quadro FX 1800. I would blame the WS card but it works pretty good with all my other games and i ran JC2 better or about the same with a Firegl v3600 vid card and way slower C2D.

I just know this cant be right i usually get 40-60 in Skyrim on high with aa bumped down to 4x so i see no reason why i cant play JC2 very well and i have tried driver updates and all the common easy fix.

a good note is that i had to use /dxadapter=0 launch code to get it running, I'm not sure if this has anything to do with my fps issues but its worth mentioning

The quadro is the better card.. unfortunately neither of those will be able to run it very well, your processor is not bad at all for its age, but if you want to play any game JC2 and newer, you will need to spend a few $..

maybe take a look at the r7 250

I know i'm reallly late on the reply (This years been hectic) but even beefed way up and loaded with tons of addons Skyrim still isn't that much of a GPU hog (with addon's you can easily get into the 2gb of video RAM range though) I was able to play skyrim fine on my spare computer with an acient duel core AMD and gtx 8800 (512MB RAM) on mediem-high settings....

Since it has been awhile, i hope you've since solved your issue with your GPU!
