Computer freeze randomly

I got my new rig about a month ago. And the freeze problem started about a week ago.

At first, I was playing Dota 2 on Steam, it was all good until my monitor goes black. Then it says "No video input" followed by "Enter Sleep Mode". From this point on, my computer fans was running at a way lower rpm and ran a lot quieter than it normally is. I was/am pretty sure that the desktop is still running (so it didn't completely shut down itself) I tried all kinds of keyboard combinations and it would not work. Nothing happened until I pressed the power button once (not hold, just pressed once) and it's just shut down. Normally, you would need to hold the power button to shut down a pc for 6 sec. But my rig just shut down instantly with one press.

When I turn it on, it was asking me if I want to boot Windows normally. I had Windows 8.1 when it first happened. So I downgraded to Windows 7 to see if the problem is solved. Nope, not even close, this problem happens more frequently now than ever before, not just in games, just randomly even I was looking for solutions online.

I have absolutely no clue what is going on, any help would be appreciated.

Here are my specs
i5 2500k
corsair vengeance 8G
GTX780 EVGA
Antec 300 Case
Crucial M4 256GB SSD
Asrock z77 Extreme 4
Antec High Current Gamer 520W power supply
Asus Xonar STX sound card

Actually the fact that it shuts down when you do a power button press is encouraging. It means that it hasn't locked up. It is normal for your PC to shut off when the power button is pressed. It starts a Soft OFF.

Have you shut off Sleep and Hibernation in your Power Options?

Under "Sleep", I have Sleep After set to Never, and Allow wake timers set to Enable

I dont think it has Hibernation option with Windows 7 SP1?!

Speaking of hibernation, every time I shut down from Windows 8.1, it goes to Hibernation...When I turn the pc back on, it says Resuming from hibernation. I never set to that option and am pretty sure i clicked "Shut down" not "Hibernation" in Windows 8.1

Type this command into a command window elevated to administrator:

powercfg.exe /hibernate off

This works in both Windows 7 and 8.X.

If you want to know if it's enabled prior to shutting it off, go into Control Panel > Folder Options and show hidden files and system files. Then go into C: and look and see if you have hiberfil.sys. If it's there hibernation is enabled, if it's not then its probably disabled.
