As you can see there is no OS because I don't feel like I should drop 90 bucks for windows 7/8 and a friend told me about a good alternative, Ubuntu. I mainly made this build for gaming (Steam) and day to day web browsing. Are certain games not compatible with Ubuntu or anything. I really don't want my Windows games to suddenly not work on my new build.

Solution
+ gaming in linux has a few roughf edges nvidia physics does not work in linux yet .
i whould recomend going for a cheaper gpu ike a 750 ti if you where going to install ubuntu.

Yeah there are unfortunately still a lot of games not compatible with linux. On the steam website you can filter on linux games, you could take a look what's in there and what not. But compatebility for games is underway as steam is working on SteamOS and so i guess many more games will have support for linux in the future.
