Internal harddrives unlocatted

hi guys, I've got a pc with 3 1T each and I've noticed that the pc only picks up 1 when in My computer. When in disk management it shows 2 and one said 'unlocated'. How do I get to use all three harddrives. The first one is prime where my windows 7 professional has been loaded.

Were the two other disks ever used? New disks need to be partitioned and formatted before they will show up as drive letters. Please see http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/265764-32-guide-installed-disk-system and see if it does you any good.

You can try to format the HDD that shows up disk management , but all the data will be gone. http://www.pcworld.com/article/248980/how_to_format_your_hard_drive_in_windows.html

And the one does not show up the disk management, it maybe dead, also you can try to use other SATA port or the SATA cable too.

Before formatting the drive, I would try recovery software. But my first guess is that these are new drives.

you are correct this is a new built pc, I'll try what you suggested first partitioned and then format before they show. Will let you know if i got sorted. Thanks again for your assistance.

Yes these are new harddrives and we could manage to pick up one extra drive but the third one is still not showing. i will check it is connected at all. A vriend build the pc and it might be that he didn't connetc all the drives.
