Upgrading graphics card from GT 220

I would like to update my graphics card due to some performance issues with the GT 220. It doesn't need to be top shelf as I don't play a lot of games but somewhat better than the 220 for the games I do play, COD, Crysis, Battlefield.

My budget is in the $200 range, preferably less. I'm not stuck on NVidia, just looking for the best value/performance

I have a HP Pavillion, i7 950@3.07Ghz, 12G ram. Monitor res is 1920 x 1080. About 5-6 yrs old at this point.

I have a seasonic 550w G-series psu ready to install.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Some good cards for around that price which should be able to play on medium to ultra
AMD R9 270X

or GTX 660 Direct II CU

Its up to you on which one you pick but the AMD has better price/performance but doesn't have all the features the Nvidia has.
