Changed CPU, now RAM settings don't work

Hello people, I think I've got kind of a strange problem, but it might sound very normal to the experienced overclocker. I changed my CPU from an i7 930 to a 980X (bought a used one from E-bay, the seller seemed to be trustworthy and I'm using the CPU to write right now, so it seems to be working fine...). Now the problem is, I've got 4 sticks of 2GB OCZ Gold Series RAM (1.65V & 1600 MHz), which do not come with XMP settings and it took me a few days to find the correct settings to get it to run at 1600 MHz when I had the i7 930 in the machine. I ran memtest86 for a day and then memtest for a couple of hours; and then lots of gaming. No errors and no problems... But when I used the same settings after I changed the CPU today, the machine didn't even boot ("unsuccessful POST attempts" and such). Only when I put the RAM settings on auto (which means it's forced to run at 1066 MHz), it can boot.

When I was trying to find the right settings with the 930 inside, at least it booted, just had memtest errors. Now it can't even do that. As you've probably realized, I'm not an experienced overclocker, but I'm sure I didn't do anything wrong before, because the PC ran smoothly for a long time. A bit of information about the settings I'm trying to use:

I'm not going to put down the RAM timings unless someone asks me about them, I don't think that could be the issue.

Memory voltage: 1.62 Volts (next one is 1.66)
QPI voltage: 1.30 Volts (previous is 1.275 and next one is 1.325)
Host clock: 133 MHz (instead of the default 135, I used this to get the RAM to run at exactly 1600 MHz when I had the 930, otherwise it wasn't stable)
Uncore multiplier: 24

These are the settings I've been playing with today to get the PC to boot, but there are other settings that I haven't played with, namely the IOH Core Voltage which is by default at 1.1 Volts and it says I should increase that if I increase the host clock and this is the lowest value by the way. There are also the current override and power override settings for the CPU but I can't imagine those two helping.

The 980X doesn't seem to mind running at a slightly lower host clock, because I've still got it set to 133 and it boots as long as the RAM settings are on auto.

So, what do you think the problem might be? Thank you all in advance.

EDIT: my BIOS is running the latest version

I know it says that, but you can actually go higher. If you search the internet, you'll find tons of people asking about it and loads of other people replying to say it's fine. Here's a thread from tom's, you might want to read some of the replies.
