I recently bought a 1080p 27" monitor that only has a dvi-d and vga port. i need to find a way to connect both my pc and my ps3 to the monitor. the problem is all the dvi-d switch boxes i've found are very expensive... Am i missing a simple solution?

Thanks in advance!!

well... you would have three options:

-pull out and put in the other cable every time
-use a hdmi switch and flip the input every time
-use a hdmi splitter and make sure to only have one source (ps3 or pc only, not both) on at one time.

of course you need a hdmi to dvi-d adapter for the ps3 since it has hdmi only (or a hdmi to dvi cable)

well your PC is simple... you'd use a DVI cable from your GPU to the monitor.
The PS3, I assume that's your main issue there?

This is one of the korean 1440p monitors? If so, I don't think the VGA input on them even works typically.
