Power cutting out

I have a Gigabyte 78MHT-S2P Mobo that I've recently purchased that I believe may be faulty. Essentially when I first boot it up it'll stay on for about 45 seconds and then cuts out then every attempt afterwards in less and less time.

At first I assumed it was my Utra 550W PSU but I tested it with a 450W with the same results. There's no beep code so I can't determine the issue through that.
I'm just hoping I can figure out a quick fix since the retailer that I purchased from will not RMA and GB's customer service was an outright failure.

Also this was part of a new PC build, so everything is brand new.

The only thing out of the ordinary is I have no heatsink on my CPU (AMD FX-6100) as its currently in the mail. I highly doubt that it'd heat up that quickly in a few seconds so I have strong doubts it's the issue.

AHA! That's the issue. Needs a heatsink, otherwise it takes a few seconds to reach the cutoff temp.

No it cuts off even during the bios so I have no time to change anything.

Blackbird, would that be the same issue with Utra's 450W as well? Since that was the other PSU I used to test it with.

There's your problem. A CPU will only run for a few seconds without cooling. They heat up very fast! Put a cooler on it!
