prime95 workers stopped working after 4.5ghz overclock

I have just oced my fx 8350 to 4,5ghz and I am running prime as I type this and one of my workers #6 stopped worming within the first minute of the test and worker #5 stopped running after 6minuttes, I wanted to know why that was the case? I Have coretemps running on the side, minium temps: 17°c and Max so far: 47°C (cooler is h100i)

well maybe running into stability issues. with such good teps i you could increase vcore a bit! also make sure you have dissable cool and quite and all other power saving option and increase llc to get rid of vdrop under load

thanks for the reply, I will increase the vcore a bit and see what happens.
This is my first time doing this so may you tell me what the llc is please?

if your workers are stopping, you are very close to being stable. its likely you just need to up the vcore a tiny bit, especially since your temps are low enough. or test out certain levels of line load calibrations to minimize the min/max load voltage difference. disable all power saving features and use intel burn test and hwmonitor and see what your load/min voltage is being reported compared to the idle/higher voltage is(all this relative to what the bios set vcore is, they will all be different). then test a certain level of llc until you see the mix/max get closer to one another. some motherboards do this very well, some dont.

with 47c, get yourself stable at 4.5 and then start moving up to 4.6/4.7, you have a lot of headroom for more vcore/heat.

i prefer to use intel burn test set to maximum stress level as a quick and dirty test to see where voltages are and as an extra measure, then move on to a 12 hour prime test. plus i see that ibt raises temps a tiny bit higher than prime. many will agree they have seen 12 hour prime tests fail with intel burn test.

i usually do a furmark/kombustor/etc. and prime test at the same time for an hour after passing a 12 hour prime as an extra measure to make sure everything can run together.

I have set the llc on my mobo to ultra high at the moment, and I started again on my oc, right now I am seeing how far I can push the cpu ratio with the stock voltage, but once I start to have the workers fail I will crank the vcore a bit by bit and once I find a stable vcore i will then push the cpu ration by 100mhz a time until i need to put more vcore!

I am running prime in between each alteration but once I reach where I want to be (roughly 4.7) I will then run the test in the method you described!
