overclocking gpu problem, need help asap

hello
yesterday i overclocked my xfx r9 280x, just like in this vid : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-IJiWMwK11I

and after i overclocked i got a message when i launched bf4, somethin that the drivers doesnt support direct x or something, can't really remember... and when i was in game it was just like this :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uAhlcbIrvk8

and after that i just put in defaults, and i still got the same problem.. it just in titanfall and bf4 the problem is in..

now im reinstalling the gpu drivers..

CPU : AMD FX 6300
CPU FAN: CM VORTEX PLUS
GPU: XFX RADEON R9 280x
RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz 8GB CL9
HDD: Seagate Barracuda Green 2TB
PSU : Corsair TX V2 750W PSU
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3, Socket-AM3+

try reinstalling the direct x redist ads well as the drivers again.

also double check your gpu frequency again.....wrong oc ing or lack of proper voltage sometimes results in flickering and artifacts.

what psu do you use????

it seems to work when i reinstalled my gpu drivers.. but i still want to overclock, should i do it with msi afterburner or trixx? i have heard trixx is the best program to use for oc on amd gpu's

Hi and welcome to Tom's forum.

Use MSI Afterburner, just one program, two can create problems. Start in little steps.

Yeah i did.. But it is now just like it was before When im lauching bf4 it popped up the same message that cataclyst driver 13.12 doesnt support direct x or something.. Whatever i oveclock on msi it just fail

what about sapphire trixx????

un install the msi afterburner and try trixx. see if that works somehow....and again only oc a few mhz at one go.

most of the game is laggy if there is many players.. like in wow on ultra in the main city (sw) but when im in raid it works perfectly..

Do you have installed Mantle beta driver?.

Always install just the driver from AMD's web page, only driver, not software and those stuffs.

Ehm wait, i think i installed it before i reinstalled the drivers.. But it wasnt much help on the lagg..

update your mobo bios.

and download the latest drivers for your mobo as well as your gpu from amd web site. forget that gigabyte web site, those drivers are age old ones.
