Definitely CPU, upgrading the GPU would only bottleneck the CPU. I know that board supports the FX 6300, but I would check and make sure it supports the FX 8320, and go for that one. Still decently priced but it wont bottleneck any GPU that you upgrade to later.

Are you sure that it will bottleneck?

Yes. A Core 2 Duo I had at 2.6Ghz was a bottleneck with a GTX 460.

Right so I am in the budget of £100 - £150 in AM3+ socket

Which CPU do you recommend Mr *Facepalm*

Edit: Is this any good?

I have a 600w PSU
Or should I get a propper cooler and an 8320

I would do the 8320. I like water coolers for the 8 series, as they produce a lot of heat. I would google reviews on your MOBO, make sure it is stable enough. I think it should be, but as you yourself have used the board you might have a better idea.

You then have ~250 USD, a 8320 is $150, and a refurbished Corsair water cooler is about $46-$60.

Honestly, I have an FX 8320 OCed to 4.3Ghz stable and I have a Hyper212 EVO. Its $30 so even less in Euro. I have no thermal problems. I wouldn't bother with the expenditure on water cooling, because until you start shelling out some serious cash the EVO will either be on par or beat the lower end water cooling systems. I'd do research on this topic before you decide. There are a ton of threads on this and most say go EVO unless you want a high end water system, and thats only neccesary if your doing some intense overclocking

Current Rig:
FX 8320 8 Core 4.3Ghz Processor
EVGA GTX 760 GPU
8Gb Gskill DDR3 Ram
GA-970a-ud3 Mobo
Mod Xtreme Pro 600W PSU
120Gb Samsung EVO SSD
500Gb 7200rpm barracuda
Hyper 212 EVO CPU Cooling Fan
