Hello all

I just put together a PC and my cpu is apparently heating up to 200 Celsius?

Now i'll go through the steps what makes me think something in my settings is not working properly.

Firstly i just put my PC on and checked BIOS and checked CPU Temp and it said CPU Temperature 50 C then kept rising and within 30 seconds said 101 C .
I switched off my PC and then loaded straight to windows to download some temperature software so i can compare different sources. I ended up downloading 4 different programs and running them together and they were all around 50-60 C but my max value was apparently 197 C and minimum 49 C

Now i have been monitoring the situation for the last couple of hours and it sticks around 50-60C even when im in game.... L4D2 high settings..... Football Manager 2014... (Obviously a high processor game)

Im thinking maybe it is adding all 4 cores up to get 197 C because my CPU would explode if it reached these kinds of temperatures right?

Any assistance in this matter or reassurance that my CPU is actually not pushing itself to the absolute limit and is going to blow would be nice.

Thanks in advance

Update - BIOS i have only checked during the first 1-2 minutes and it rises to around 101 C HW Monitor, SpeedFan and a couple of others all said 50-60 C but HW Monitor says my maximum is 200 C
