Recently the laptop experienced a series of shutdowns while playing high graphic game (dota 2).last tym shutdowns happened when heatsink fan wasnt working,so that was replaced but now fan is working fine but laptop is having same shutdown

is it because of heatsink malfunction or graphic card getting overheated which causes shutdown ? What should be done to rectify the problem or at least reduce the temperature?

Laptop specifications:
Hp pro book 4420s
Intel i3 2.53ghz
4gb ram 64 bit windows7
Intel integrated graphics chip 256mb

Ps: when temp of graphics card was checked during game , it ranged btw 87-95 Celsius by speedfan software

I'm not familiar with the laptop or the integrated graphics.. but you almost certainly shutting down because of heat.

That is a VERY underpowered laptop... i imagine your CPU and graphics chip are running at 100% nonstop.

What do you have the laptop sitting on? on a desk, or on a cooling pad? I'd recomend a cooling pad for $20
