Hey, been wanting to build a gaming desktop for awhile now. Mainly want it as low budget as I can get while being able to play elderscrolls online on ultra right now. Eventually I would like to upgrade more. My sights have been around 400-500, but if it is possible for less that would be awesome. First build so I'm starting from scratch. Need everything but peripherals

Even for $500 you will not be playing ESO at ultra settings at 1080p.

If you need to buy an OS as well, you are looking at $750 or so to get full ultra settings locked at 60fps at 1080p.

start watching newegg shellshockers daily and scoop up the parts as cheap as you can. most will have mail in rebates.

you can end up with something like this for 400-500.

ECS am3+ motherboard, fx4300 quad core cpu, gtx 750, 500w power supply, raidmax case, 1tb hard drive, 8gb ram

amazon has the evga superclocked gtx 750 on sale today for $90 after rebate. might want to start there.

also monitor resolution is a big difference maker in your FPS

Some problems here:

You REALLY want in intel CPU for Skryim. It is HEAVILY coded to favor intel over AMD. Unless you can get a 6300, get an i3 over the 4300.

He said he wants ultra settings, the gtx750 will barely get medium settings stable at 1080p.

The PSU brand is VERY important. Antec, XFX, Corsair, Seasonic ONLY.

Raidmax makes poor quality cases.

4gb RAM would be fine for the start, and free up money to spend on a better GPU/CPU.
