Over about a year now, I've been looking to upgrade my PC, and throughout that time my budget and opinions have changed.
Now I've chosen the GPU, Case, and PSU, but I have a few questions:

1. I have a branded pre-built system at the moment (Advent DT2111b); will this affect compatibility or anything when upgrading?

2. I currently have an AMD HD6670, which is a lot smaller than the GTX 770 that I am wanting to purchase. Will this matter? My logic was that I would just get a bigger case... Also, will having a pre-built system affect a case upgrade?

3. Should i go for an MSI GeForce GTX 770 2gb or a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 4gb? I am hoping to play 95% of games on ultra with ideally as close to 60fps as possible. I have one 1920x1080 monitor.

4. Will my other not-so-good specifications limit my performance even with these new components? Here are my current specifications:

Advent DT2111b:

Intel Core i5-2320 CPU @3.00GHz
8gb RAM
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
1x 2TB Hard Drive
1x AMD HD6670 Graphics Card

5. Can you please give me feedback on my choice of components? I'm not the brightest when it comes to these things...

PSU: BeQuiet Dark Power Pro P10 850W '80Plus Platinium' Modular Power Supply

Case: NZXT Phantom 410 Enthusiast Midi Tower Case - Black/White

Graphics Card: NVidia GeForce GTX 770

6. How many fans should i get ideally? The case has room for 8 and has 3 already included. How many more should i buy? and can you recommend me some that will be compatible with that case as I am unsure as to which fans to buy.

7. In the future, if I were to upgrade my RAM, Motherboard, or CPU would i also need to buy a new OS? I've done some research and apparently my current OS is tied to my current motherboard etc.

Thanks,

You answered your own question.

1-2 for intake at the front/bottom, and 1-2 for outtake at the rear/top. So go with what is included, and measure temps, if to high get more fans.

PSU: Should be able to run 3 or almost 3 GTX770's on that PSU. So if you're only using one GTX 770, then it's possible to get a PSU with less watts which would still work. As long as the PSU model is good.

2GB or 4GB version? http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-1695181/advice...

Basically it depends on what resolution you're playing at. Most people say that 4GB is unnecessary at 1080p. But I think there are some games like Call of Duty Ghosts that for some reason can use a lot of gfx memory.

"No, with your screen res there would be no difference. 4gb vram would not help unless you game at 2560x1440 or 1600 with lots of AA and texture mods, even then there would probably be very little difference depending on the game." - posted sometime last year.

Look at the recommended hardrware for your favourite games, like BF4, COD etc.

But if you're going to be running two 770's in crossfire then 4GB will be important.

I think your CPU is a little bit slow. But that it should probably fine. I'm not an expert though.
