Hello, starting a new build soon, have all the components.... I've got a standard 3 pin fan mounted on the rear of my case for exhaust, and I got an extra 4 pin PWM fan to install. My question is: should I put the PWM fan in the front for intake, or in the rear for exhaust (swapping with the stock one that is there now, and putting that one in the front for intake)?

Relevant components:
Rosewill R536 Case
MSI H81M-P33 Micro ATX mobo - this has 2 case fan connectors: one 4 pin PWM, and one 3 pin standard
CoolerMaster Blade Master 120mm PWN fan
Stock 120mm Fan from the Rosewill Case.

More about : pwm case fan intake exhaust

it's not going to matter much in the real world. If it were me, whichever method makes the wiring the neatest. assuming the 4 pin is near the I/O panel on the back, and the 3 pin is near the ram slots in the front, i'd do 4pin rear and 3 pin front

It's usually better to have positive pressure in a case (more fans pulling in than pushing out) to reduce dust build up but opinions vary.

Personally I'd put 2 intakes on the front and 1 exhaust at the rear.

Thanks! this is what I did, putting the new PWM fan in the rear and the stock fan in the front.
