I have a 2GB Nvidia GTX 670 at the moment. Its great but I want to boost my video memory up to 3 GB. Is it possible if I bought a cheaper 1GB card and used them both at the same time?
SLI doesn't work that way. 2GB + 1GB = 1GB. SLI will use the lowest VRAM available. Chances are, you're playing at a resolution that doesn't even require 3GB of VRAM, and you would likely benefit from a stronger card than 3GB of VRAM (although the cards that come with 3GB of VRAM would be noticably faster than your 670).

It does not work that way as noted above. Having said that I have a SLI GTX 670 2gb setup and have no problems with any games even playing on a Surround setup at 5760x1080. What are you playing that you feel the need for more than 2gb VRam?
