theory question about TCP traffic

hi all
I have a question about TCP traffic
if you download something about 10GB using TCP transport protocol,
does for each packet you download there is an Acknowledge packet will be uploaded to the web server ?
or it happens one time only ?

There is a ack packet required for every "window" of data but more are actually sent depending on the OS. At 10g the latency in fiber can sometimes cause delays waiting for these ack packets if you set the window too small. You should search for " long fat network" for a discussion of this issue.
