USB 3.0 PNY "not enough disk space"

Have a 64gig USB 3.0 flash drive from PNY and attempted to put a file that is 1.47 onto it and got an error saying not enough space. Which is odd because it should be empty. I check the file format and when I switch it to NTFS formatting (so it can accept 4gig files, not that I'm using any 4 gig files) it shows 35 of 49gig. When I switch it back to FAT or Exfat it gives me up to 48gig available. However, regardless of the formatting I am unable to transfer my 1.47g file onto it-- though I could transfer .JPEG pic files onto it.

I have attempted to update Anti-V and scan--no finds.

Any advice would be nice. I do not need any files on it so I have no problem attempting any new formatting ideas.
