Pc won't start properly

Took all parts out of pc put them back in, now it won't start properly. When I click the psu on switch it starts the pc without pushing the power button, there's no beep and the power button doesn't turn it off

Also the gpu fan spins very slow for a 2-3 seconds then stops.

Everything seems to be wired up properly don't have a clue what it is

Oh and also the hdd lights? (the small lights on the front of the case) aren't flashing

Are you sure you have the front panel connectors in the correct positions? Go through again and verify each wire is hooked up correctly.

Well all of those wires fit where they are if that means anything, I could show you a picture of them if that would help

Well the front panel headers will fit anywhere a pin is sticking up lol make sure the front panel headers are connected to the correct pins on the motherboard. Look at your motherboard manual if you need to.

Make sure they are in the correct place. It sounds like something is causing a constant 'on' connection at the front panel header. Remove all of the front panel connectors and try again.

Took them all out and put them back in I'm almost certain they're in the right place, still nothing

Try removing the front panel connectors completely, then see what happens when you turn the power supply on. It could also be a problem with one of the 24-pin connectors. Check the 24-pin to make sure no errant strands of wire are sticking out anywhere.

The 24 pin seems fine and unplugged the front panel connectors and the computer still turns on as soon as I switch the psu on

Well it seems either the powersupply is constantly in the 'on' state, or the motherboard is constantly telling the power supply to turn on. I'd be leaning more towards the power supply. Do you have another power supply you could borrow to test out? You could just plug in the 20/24 pin connector and see if it turns on immediately or not. This would rule out one of the two.

Sounds like a motherboard problem to me. Can you verify if anything conductive is touching either the top or bottom of the motherboard besides the standoffs, and those are all in the correct position?

There's nothing conductive and the standoffs are fine , except there's a standoff missing but I'm not sure if it was there when I got the computer

I would RMA the motherboard. I can't think of any other reason this would happen if it's not the power supply.
