I built my computer and then realized I didn't have an aftermarket cooler so I didn't want to overclock it. Can I run the computer without overclocking and can I add in another fan later and overclock it? How hard is it to add the fan in after the initial build?

Thanks

You can definitely run the computer with out overclocking, I wouldn't overclock without a better CPU cooler. To install a good cooler you will need to remove the old heatsink along with the motherboard from the case to install the backplate the new cooler uses along with the cooler. Run your computer for a little bit to warm up the thermal grease to make it easier to remove the heatsink from the CPU, use isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber cloth or cotton ball to clean the old thermal compound off the CPU. Apply new thermal compound (usually comes with a new heatsink) and the new cooler and you are good to go.

Can't say for sure, try googling overclocking performance or benchmark for your CPU and see what comes up.

Thanks, one last question. What fan would you recommend?

coolermaster 212 evo should allow you to get to around 4.2GHz without needing to touch voltages. If you want to go above that I would recommend something like the noctua NH D14 or water cooling. I wouldn't do anything less than the corsair H80i for above 4.2GHz.

It should, the noctua is a very large cooler and you have a pretty large heat spreader on your RAM, I think you might run into some issues with it. I would recommend sticking with the 212 evo or a closed loop water cooler to try and avoid interference with your RAM. You can google image search your case with the different heatsinks and see how it looks.
