Hi i just got my Evga G2 1000W power supply after looking online today i read that some of them blow up and take out other pc parts but most of the reviews we're good average on 4.9 of 5, 9.6 of 10 ect. But anyway i'm a little scared being it's my first build with 780 classified sli,Asus hero with intel i7 4770k and didn't want to be stuck with dead parts if it happened. I have warranties on everything but non of them really said anything if a PSU dies. So i was wondering if their is anything to ensure my tower/build of everything not being taken out and dead

Some people have had great experiences with EVGA PSUs, others haven't. You can't go wrong with choosing XFX, SeaSonic or Corsair (AX/HX/TX). That being said, things happen. Even with a good PSU, you could be that one in a million that receives a lemon PSU that fries your PC.

Enter your PSU's Serial Number here to see if it's one of the affected units:

I just checked and it said EVGA CAN CONFIRM THAT THE SERIAL NUMBER THAT YOU ENTERED IS NOT AFFECTED AND DOES NOT NEED TO BE UPDATED. But i'm still kinda looking into a UPS to support my computer if it ever dies so i can worry less >.>

Don't worry too much.

Summary:

EVGA's second ever submission to this site just happens to be absolutely fantastic. The Supernova G2 1000 watt unit is stable, it's low on ripple, and it's plenty efficient. Just like the box said it was. And it's affordable, too. Folks, don't worry about the bragging rights the NEX1500 would give you... this right here is the EVGA unit to own, and I am really looking forward to taking a look at big brother 1300W before too long. If that unit is as good as this one is... look out, competition.

The Good:

excellent ripple control
excellent voltage stability
affordable
fully modular
nice looking
10 year warranty <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< :D

The Bad:

nothing, really

The Mediocre:

some cable length issues
