Hi, my friend has the fx-8150 and he's thinking of getting the 780ti. Will there be any compatibility issues here?

Nope. Should run great.

The bulldozer architecture will bottleneck that gpu in any game that needs a decent cpu.

It should only knock off 5-10fps though. Not a big difference when you have 100+ frames already.

9590 won't be bottlenecked by any gpu for a while. But if you're gonna spend $350 on a processor, get an i5.

As bignastyid said, Bulldozer is crap, well, pretty much.

Your friend is better off getting an i5-4670k + Z87 and going for a 780.

Yep. The 8150 is an incredibly weak process or when compared to a 780ti. Your friend should either upgrade his processor and get the ti or buy a 770 of 780 and get a nicer CPU.

The 9590 is a waste. He'd be better off with an i5 or an 8350 and a good cooler for ocing.

hmm, just wondering, i have the 780ti with the 3570k @stock clocks i won't be getting any bottlenecks right? Also if i was to sli the 780ti would i see any bottlenecking then with the 3570k?

With one 780ti you might see a small bottleneck, but it shouldn't be noticeable. With two, your processor will most likely bottleneck.

3570k bottlenecks a 780ti ;o? you sure?

Oof. I read 3470k for some reason. That's what I get for typing while drowsy.

The 3570k should be able to run the 780ti no problem. Should be able to handle a 780ti sli pretty well too.
