Hi Toms,

I'm looking for a mid tower case with superb airflow as the priority. It will house a single 780ti and just 1 SSD.

So between these fine cases,

Corsair 450D
Corsair 500r
Corsair Air 540

Which has the best airflow (primarily to GPU)?
Which is the quietest?

Feel free to suggest any other case you think would work well, I don't care about the price.

Thanks for your time.

Hi blackbird, could you please give me a couple reasons why? I was kind of leaning towards it since it was just released and seems to fit me well but just want to be sure.

500R

It's $30 cheaper than the 450D right now and I think it is better than it.

All the cooling options , Corsair quality , Setup for positive airflow , one of the best case designs this year.

I own the 750D Full tower , it's a slightly smaller version of that.

But the 500R does all that, has more space for the CPU cooler and is $30 cheaper.

Yeah $30 cheaper for the white version, if only my favorite color wasn't black. £_£

I think I will take Blackbird's wise words and go with the 450D simply because it's newer and has more cooling options.

Thank you guys, I've been trying to choose on a case for months lol.

You won't be disappointed , plenty of room in that case.

Might also take a look at the corsair 760t :-) comes out a bit sooner than the 450d

The 450D is already out I'm pretty sure. I've somewhat checked out the 760t, and while it's a very nice looking case it's too big for my needs ATM. Thanks for the suggestion though

Personally, I'm kinda torn between the 760t and the 540 air.

I liked the look of the air 540 and the airflow is certainly designed well, but for me it fell a little short when it came to GPU cooling, noise levels, and cooling options (only can add 2 additional fans to the top for 5 in all).

Also the vertical 5.25 drive bays kind of scared me off considering I will be playing a lot of old school RTS games with a CD.

This is just my opinion so take it with a grain of salt. I was really close to getting the 540 but these few things deterred me.

This guy is getting a 780Ti, I don't think $30 is a massive deal over functionality/aesthetics
