Hey everyone. Today i built my first computer, I came across this issue when I was going to install Windows 8.1. When I turn on the power, everything seems to run fine (all the fans etc.) When In plug in the VGA cable that came with my Dell Monitor into the VGA port that came on the motherboard, my monitor says no signal. I don't know whats wrong but I hope its not a RMA issue.Should I get a DVI cable instead? Any help? Thanks!

i think you have to set the output source for video in the bios.
advanced options
primary graphics adapter
choose : onboard

I can't access BIOS on my monitor because I have no signal. I bought a DVI cable to see if the vga was faulty but that didn't work. I check the ram and tried the other slot but that didn't work either. I even reset the CMOS and still no signal. I think my motherboard is broken, all fans light up but I don't hear beeps from the speaker. Also i'm using the motherboard graphics, I don't know if I need a discrete GPU but I already reset CMOS so the motherboard gpu should have worked but it didn't. Any suggestions?

If the is no POST process beep you have an hardware issue with one of the components.
try take them off add them one by one and try turn the comp on listen if you have a POST beep.
