Hi guys, this is my build now, prices went up before I could afford to start buying! I want to know how important CPU overclocking is, as I could get a cheaper mobo if I do without it.

If you could look at my build and think you could do it cheaper without sacrificing too much performance, let me know!!! Thanks.

There is a significant difference between the FX6300 and the i5 4670. The FX 8350 is similar in performance though. For a gaming rig, I would not go with a 6300 as for right now it may be ok, but it will not be able to keep up for much longer. The 4670 and the 8350 will be good for many years into the future. In my opinion, if you can afford to go with the intel, do it, but if you need to not spend that much, you will be happy with the fx8350. Its like the difference between the corvette base model and the corvette Z06, you will be happy with both, but one is just a little bit better.

If you do not plan on overclocking ever, you can get a b85 motherboard and have the same performance. The Z87 boards cost more because they can...

So what would be better, the fx8350 and cheaper mobo, or i5 4670 (locked) with cheaper mobo do you think?

Was told the z87 is just for overclocking... Thanks mate

Well the i5 will be better but not by very much its up too you whether or not you want to spend the extra cash for the i5. And yes the z87 is for overclocking and the i5 does have more single core power but the 8350 isent far behind and the 8350 is much better at multithreading which some new games are starting to incorporate so its up to you, you cant go wrong either way.

The only time I personally feel the need to overclock is when a system has aged to the point of the CPU not being able to keep up with modern games and programs and it needs a boost. That is why I buy Z boards. So I can put off buying a new CPU by extending it's service life by another year or so at the end.

CPU Overclocking is no important . in fact it can really damage your hardwares even if you do it safely it will still lower your hardware's life span . you better not overclock anything .just get a good system & have fun .

so if your not going to overclock or sli or crossfire then grab a non K CPU ( like i5 3470 or 4xxx series ) & H77 Motherboard ( z series is for overclocking ) . & for graphic go for GTX 760 . for psu 600-700watt , & for ram 2x4GB 1600mhz .

sorry dude i couldnt open your link . hope i could help .
