Computer keeps cutting out and sometimes restarting.

Ok so basically, my computer is built on a budget. Got a basic setup with some cheap parts.

AMD 4100 FX Bulldozer
Nvidia 550ti
8gb Ram (Unknown brand)
Seagate 1tb HDD
Arctic Cooling PSU (750w)
(Built myself, first time)

So this is going to sound outrageous to a lot of you, but I have to cool my PC using a floor-fan. I have the side of the case open with the fan pointing in. This is terrible, I know and it creates a lot of dust. Once a week I hoovered the dust and it has been like this for 3 years as I was not in a financial position to upgrade. I finally have the funds to upgrade in 2 weeks. However this is irrelevant. My computer had been functioning fine in this absurd setup for 3 years as mentioned before, and about 1 month ago it suddenly cut off mid way through a game of counterstrike. I was confused, as I had never experienced anything like this before. It wouldn't turn back on, I couldn't get any lights on (apart from the green one on the motherboard) and no fans would come on. I decided it was time to buy a new PSU. So I went on eBay (again, on a budget) and bought an Arctic cooling 750w processor. It had 4 and a half star reviews so I purchased it. It arrived, I did my weekly PC clean and installed the new PSU. It turned on and everything was going fine. I was quite chuffed with it all working and all when about 5 minutes later it shut off, just like before, but this time it restarted automatically and gave me information about an American Megatrends power surge prevention. I ignored this, and pressed F2 to run as normal. I kept playing the game I was on (Arma 2, not a GPU intensive game) for about 3-4 hours. After this, I turned my computer off and went to bed. The next day, after playing about 1-2 hours, it did the restarting thing. I would turn it back on, and again after 1-2 hours, it would restart. Anyway, to cut to the chase, it got progressively worse each day and at the current time, I can play for 5 minutes before it restarts. Doesn't matter what game, it restarts. Minecraft, Arma 2, CounterStrike, Path of Exile, anything. The only game it doesn't cut out on is League of Legends, and I have no clue why. However, it seems that it's only as soon as I go on a game that this happens. I can sense the computer getting hot as well. All i want is some possible ideas to what the problem is, I'm not that experienced with troubleshooting PCs as I've been lucky to steer clear of any problems in the past. It's not a problem with dust, I've cleaned the computer so it's squeaky clean. I don't think it has to do with computer cooling generally, although it might be an individual component overheating. It could just be that I've bought a dodgy PSU and need to send it back, or my other idea was the RAM.

Any help is much appreciated and thanks for reading :)

Is there a cooler on your CPU? Your previous PSU might have made a voltage spike which has stuffed your mobo and/or CPU. I'd geta good PSU - see elsewhere on this website - and a good CPU cooler. Cheap and nasty stuff gives you the sort of problems you've got.

Yeah a voltage spike was my other suspicion, damaging the motherboard. I've got the CPU cooler/paste/fan that came with the CPU 3 years ago, which probably explains. Don't think I'll bother buying anything new as I've got a £1200 PC arriving in 2 weeks, just wanted to see if i could play any games on this in the mean time. Thanks for answering :)
