I know I planned out a very similar to yours system on part picker, I don't really see a point in the 780, I'm not going to be playing metro last light or far cry on ultra, a 770 is good enough for me

That's cool, you can drop down to a 770 and take the savings home. The only advantage to a 780 is that it will last you longer. You're basically future proofing for newer games you may want to play. But you don't really need it.
