Hi, i was recommended a graphics card recently that requires a 400w PSU but my computer is only a 250W. I found a PSU that i believe would go along with the recommended graphics card and my $100 budget but would like to make sure before i make any purchases.

Recommended GPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

PSU that i found: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

System information:

System information-
Operating system: Windows 7 home premium 64-bit (6.1, build 7601) service pack 1 Hp Pavilion

Processor: AMD Athlon (tm) II x2 215 Processor (2 cpus), ~2.7GHz

Memory: 4096mb Ram

System model: AY625AA-ABA a4311f

Graphics card Info:
Nvidia Geforce 6150se Nforce 430

Display memory: 1912 MB
Dedicated memory: 248 MB
Shared memory: 1663 Mb

I was told the model number there wasn't correct, so i'll also include the info from the motherboard tab after running CPUID:

Manufacturer: Pegatron Corporation
Model: Narra6 6.01
Chipset: Nvidia mcp61 A3
Southbridge: Nvidia mcp61 A2
LPCIO: Fintek F8000

Thanks in advance for any help!

What was your budget? that video card is a terrible waste of money for price performance. unless you have a computer that is low profile that card isn't at all worth it

Honestly a fool would buy that card for gaming.
I would recommend a Corsair CX430, sounds like the most reliable thing at the cheapest price.

Also, go with a 750ti too in that case.

I play league of legends currently on lowest graphics and have done everything i can to improve fps including disabling aero, setting computer to high performance, etc. but i can barely manage 30 fps after a recent patch. i'd just like a card that i know can run league of legends smoothly as a normal fps, i don't mind if I have to remain on lowest settings.

My budget is $100-$150

100 is pretty low, I would suggest getting a 750ti, but thats about $150, HD7770 runs at about $120. Wouldn't want to go lower then that, the price per performance is crap at lower cards like the 240.

a 7770 + http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... ($25) might not be bad.

you don't need to go to crazy over that $100 budget just for a game like league just get
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

Video Card: PowerColor Radeon HD 7750 1GB Video Card ($84.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Power Supply: Corsair CX 430W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($24.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $109.97
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

it isn't the best but if you mostly play league of legends that will be more than comfortable for you
