Hey there. I'm having a decision making problem and need some help. :bounce:

So my situation is I was on Tek Syndicate a few days ago asking people for assistance refining my build (for price to performance reasons as I am on a budget) before I start to invest in parts. One guy said he would feel my CPU would be a waste without a 270x which was $70 more than the 750 ti I initially planned to get. Should I take his advice or not? Im a bit of a computer noob by the way.

Current Build: Case could be cheaper but it looks good for lan and I plan on taking it to friends houses: http://au.pcpartpicker.com/user/CooperPC/saved/4iNd

For this computer I plan on involving myself in the RPG side of ARMA3 (Altis Life), possibly Breaking Point mod (DayZ for ARMA3) and other survivally games like Rust and 7 Days 2 Die.

Thank you to anyone that helps.
Ill choose best answer before I go to bed tonight (10+ hours)

Thank you very much

Solution
270x is still in the bang for the buck category, Up until about the 280x area you should get the best you can afford, if you can afford it, then get it, if not, get the 750ti which is also a very capable card, but not as capable, 750ti excels at bang for wattage, not really bang for $s.

Solution
The R9 270x (or its NVIDIA equivalent the GTX760 which is USD 250) are much faster than the GTX 750Ti.
Almost 2x as fast theoretically, as the 750Ti is meant for less power consumption, not more performance.
It'll be the best perf/watt card you can possibly get, but it's slower than its GTX600 counterpart, the GTX 650 Ti.

If you could , instead put a couple of bucks more than a r9 270x and get a GTX 760 , you dont take GFX Cards every year or do you ? other parts can be changed but a good GPU is what you require for gaming !
Also in benchmarks and performance it is more than the R9 270x
I personally have a R9 270x , still i'd tell you to get it if you can put those extra bucks , and then again people here have explained you why not take the 750 ti , i wont repeat their lines again.

270X is much better than the GTX750ti and goes nice with your I5.

Also the fact that it wont perform as much powerful as the 750 Ti is concernful , as he really wants more frames per second and not less wattage.
I'd say less wattage if you have a Low Wattage power supply.
Shall i make it more clear , or are you gonna ask me something more ?

The rest of what you said was right, but the 750 TI is stronger than the 650 TI, not the other way around.
The only advantage the 650 TI has is texture mapping units. That means it performs slightly better in some games, but most of the time the 750 TI is ahead.
