He said to get a 770 because it is better for higher resolution than the 760, and you need the 4GB of VRAM for good performance on multiple monitors.

Thanks appreciate your feedback. I've read on other forums that the 770's in sli will give me about the same performance as the 2 7950's. Is that true? I know that the 2 7950's have 2 extra GB. Will that make a huge difference? Thanks.

ok, please excuse my stupidity here, but when you say make them 4GB, do you mean each card should be 4 GB? I know this is probably a stupid question, but not the most tech savvy person. The reason why I ask is that each 770 is 2GB and I can't purchase them as 4 GB from the manufacturer who is replacing my original cards.

No the GTX770 in SLI is more like 2 x R9 280X or 2 x HD7970 GHz edition! So more powerful than the 2 x 7950.
If you go with 4GB cards you will end up with more Vram than AMD's 3 GB and it does not stack, 3GB will still be 3GB with CF setup and 4GB with the SLI setup still 4GB if you go with 4GB cards.
