Im working on a silence optimized build, and have narrowed the list of cases down to these:
Fractal Define R4: I like the noise dampening, and the door to cover ugly 5.25" devices. I dont like having alot of empty space in my computer and I feel the 6 drive cages would be a waste.
Fractal Define Mini: I want to use mATX, the main turn of from this one is there is no windowed version.
Corsair Air 540: This one is pretty, and rather unique. But it has no noise proofing at all, and it is very mesh-y. I also feel like it would look rather empty, I always picture this case with multiple graphics cards, or a watercooling loop.
NZXT H440: I like this one for the same reasons as the R4. I dislike it for the same reasons as the R4. Also it does look a bit like a fridge.
So far im leaning towards the Define Mini, if I did get it I would probably end up cutting a window myself. Im not to confidant of my ability with a jigsaw. Ive done a few case mods before, but they were on $50-$60 cases.
