Is this video card an overkill for my computer?

Solution
Your resolution is 2560x1440 so it will push GTX-770 to max of it's power!
I would recommend you to get GTX-780 or 4GB version of GTX-770 to run that resolution!

Edit: Velociraptor is not worth the money you could get WD Blue~Black 1TB and 840 EVO SSD!

Then is my graphics card not an overkill for just watching high quality videos? Do I need this video card to watch videos very smoothly. Like really smooth.

Sorry! I thought about gaming but you didn't mention gaming :D
Also your build already includes GTX-780 so I would switch Asus to EVGA one also I made some changes to make build a lot better!

:) Single 780 is more than enough for watching HD content but for gaming it will be just good!

Thank you so much! Then could you please explain the reasons for the changes? :)

4570 CPU is not good with such great board for OC (Maximus VI Hero) 4670k is a better option, also 550W for 109$ while 750W fully modular is like for 100$ is not so good, 1866MHz CL9 RAM is better than more expensive 1600MHz CL9 RAM and finally Velociraptor won't give you much performance increase but 1TB HDD and 120GB SSD will give you a lot more performance than Velociraptor!
:)
