hi,
I recently added 4gb ram to my system, previously 4gb exists.but it shows only 3.87gb usable. i open Boot Advanced Options and checked Maximum memory checkbox it shows 8192 MB. i need to be restart to Apply changes after restart it shows 7.49 gb usable. But when i open my system next day it shows again 3.87 gb usable, then same story.
How can i fix my Ram memory to 8gb usable ?
Processor:AMD A4-3300 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 2.50 GHz,
64-bit OS, Windows Server 2012

Thats because your integrated graphics....
Your integrated graphics uses the memory for itself

Hi sanat,
i think you misunderstand,
my system shows 3.87gb usable when 8gb installed. after i checked Maximum memory checkbox in Boot Options and after restart it shows 7.89gb usable, it is good for that day.
but when i open my system next day it again shows 3.87gb.
my system needs to restart daily after checking Maximum memory checkbox in Boot advanced options

I also would blame your internal graphic card, as i can't think of anything else.

A good idea to see if this is the problem is to get a graphic card from a friend, just for a test. Install it in your PC, go to bios, disable the internal graphic card , boot and see the memory. If it is 8.192 then you know its the internal graphic card.

If this is the case, then don't put maximum memory 8192 but 7680, perhaps you can force the internal card to use only 512 Mb every time because i think the reset of this setting is because you demand maximum ram to go to OS but your internal card needs some ram too to work. But that is just speculation, never seen it anywhere written.

Ofcourse it would be helpful if you gave us the motherboard model and the memory type

Reseat the DRAM and do so firmly so the clips come up and lock themselves on
