Three motherboards purchased and none posted. Bad luck or is my CPU dead?

I spilled coffee (w/ cream and sugar, ugh) into my PC case and it immediately shut off. After everything had a day to try, I tried it again and it powered down right away. Then I tried it a third day and the same thing happened.

I took apart my PC and cleaned the components. I tried the RAM, GPU, and power supply in an older system and everything was fine. The problem was either my mobo or CPU. Asking around, it sounded like it was the motherboard. I tried to replace it with two ASUS motherboards that were the exact model of the one I destroyed. I could get neither to post. I returned them and ordered an Asrock. Same thing. This one has a Dr. Debug and showed 00; check to see if the CPU is installed correctly and clear CMOS. I did that and it still wouldn't post.

So what happened? Did I kill my CPU by repeatedly trying to turn on the PC after the spill? Or do I just have bad luck w/ motherboards? Thanks in advance.

Nothing. I could never get them to post. I thought it was the motherboards because I never heard any beeps. The Asrock gave me that debug code but still no post.

I doubt three motherboards are no good , i hate to say it m8 , but you may have shorted out your cpu , in that case there is nothing you can do but buy another cpu

I replaced the CPU and the Asrock posted. You always hear how CPU's hardly ever fail. Was hoping that was the case this time.

Thanks for the help Mac and Mickey.
