So whats happening is that while im playing battlefield 4 all the textures look extremely grainy since I upgraded my Graphics from the Sapphire HD 7850 OC edition to the R9 280X Toxic OC edition, I have upgraded my driver to the newest version uninstalled the driver then reinstalled it and it still looks grainy as heck I would really like some help here as it is really annoying trying to figure out whether its a bush are a player while im playing, also i have completely romoved all AMD drivers from my system (my CPU is intel) and completely reinstalled them. Also my setting are on ultra.

It is surprising the number of people that don't know their monitor can be overclocked, some by a lot.

Try that, set the game to match the newly found increased hz and instead of running on Ultra, try High, 2xMSAA, post processing on Medium and SSAO. Your gaming experience will be much more successful. Then for the heck of it, try using Mantle.

are you launching the game in 32 or 64 bit?
what is your system have tou updated to the latest bios driver?
do you experience it in all games?
have you stressed your gpu with a program like furmark to see framerate and max temps?

Thanks by the way. :)

Does anyone know how to reinstall Battfield 4 but in 64bit?

I believe there is a launcher for both 64bit and 32bit? On my 64bit system I have the BF4 64bit launcher and also a 32bit version.

You say the quality is grainy.. that sounds like a resolution issue. Have you made sure both windows and bf4 are using the max res?

Okay sorry my bad i didn't notice that there where 2 launchers but that still doesn't explain whats going on because my resolution is set to 1980x1280 at 55Hz and my monitor is rated at 55Hz as well.

yes the quality is bad for the card you have running on ultra.try reinstalling battlefield 4 in 64 bit multilayer progress will not be lost.

Stop suggesting to install it in 64bit. The games downloads and install in both versions it doesnt give you a choice. You get 2 icons to click on to ooen and run the game 32 and 64 bit. You cant pick which one you want to install. It does both.

Thanks for the info I'm not quite sure if this will work but ill definitely give it a go when i have access to my computer next.

Wasnt the issue the quality looking grainy? If that is still the original issue overclocking your monitor wont do shit. Lol if anything changing monitors or adjusting you settings in your monitor like contrast and brightness. Overclocking you monitor will not fix poor image quality period.

I didn't say it would, but the obsession with running on Ultra when there isn't a noticeable difference between High is silly IMO. The info was just FYI, and sometimes CRU fixes resolution issues.

The OP is likely 1 of 2 things: 1) faulty card 2) improperly installed software. Or it could be a resolution conflict between the monitor and video card. I've had that happen.

Ultra just adds a few things that yes are hard to notice but still changing setting I dont believe is gonna fix the grainy issue he is having. If he was having lagging or choppyness then yes I'd say drop settings but image quality is more likely related to a setting.
