More about : build 1000

April 8, 2014 5:06:53 AM

Great build! Would change nothing, for the first time EVER (except mouse, keyboard and headphones but that's personal preference so i won't suggest what i would buy because you may not like that). But seriously, you are the first person i met on this forum who actually has a very good build (to start off with)
Credits to you :)

Thank you. After months of watching videos about PC building, finally I got a positive reply!

The only thing I think you should change is the power supply. The CX series has a bad rep for the cheap capacitors inside the units.

I do however agree that the CX series lacks some quality. I have suggested a different power supply to meet your needs but it is a little more expensive. The XFX Pro series is among the best power supplies on the market at the moment as they are based on seasonic power supplies (which are the best). I think its worth the extra $10.

I think I like your suggestion by replacing the CPU and mobo. I doubt at first, but I think, it's a good choice. It's just I need to spend $2 more. Can you give me another suggestion for the mobo? I want it in ATX form. reply pls..

Honestly, don't cheap out. It's worth the extra $25 for a solid power supply. Don't nickle and dime a computer build. Building a computer is an investment. Buying the right parts should always trump cost. If you are really troubled about spending the extra cash, drop the cooler and buy the better power supply. You can buy the cooler later and then overclock.

This is the only other suggestion I would make.

Best solution

The best cheapest ATX mobo is the $65 ASRock B85 Pro4

I trust EVGA psus. I've used them a few times in the past, and they all come with at least a 3 years warranty.
