I used to have windows 7 last week, and then I upgraded it to windows 8 and then updated it to windows 8.1.
I did all the updates for the new windows including network adapter updates, but the internet is still really slow, I have 8mb internet speed at my house but it's giving me around 1 to 0.5 mb speed.
I googled the problem and I've been trying to fix it for the past week, I did everything I can think of and everything suggested by users on the internet but the problem still exists.
I have a custom built PC:
motherboard: Gigabyte p67a-ud7-b3
Video Card: Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 780
Processor: Intel i7 2600k
and everything is up to date. I used wired internet connection to my PC, I tried the internet with my laptop with wireless connection and the speed is good, I also tried it with the same cable i use for my PC and it's also good.
please if anyone has any suggestion I'l try it hopefully it'll help.

Edit: I also tried downgrading the network adapter to older version but it's still not working, I'm using Realtek PCIe adapter
