Hello, I am getting a gaming PC soon and I was wondering how this would be able to run games, and on what settings. I am also open to suggestion on better parts, however I can only hover around the 1,100 dollar price range. As a side note, i have an extra set of RAM laying around, so i will actually have 16 gigabytes of RAM. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3o8C4
Thank you for your time,

Your build is very good & you will be able to run most games at high if not ultra settings. If you want I did some looking and found that you can save almost $90 on the motherboard if you went with a ASRock 970 Extreme3, which would then allow you to squeeze in some more bucks into a R9 290x, but if you don't want to it's fine because that mobo you picked is top notch so either way you can just crossfire further down the line, I also have a link with some game performance of the 280X if you'd like to check for yourself :] :

If you don't need system memory (you'll want DDR3-1333 or higher), then this is a decent spec:

You will want to add a traditional hard drive to store all your documents but I highly recommend a solid-state because your day to day computer experience will be highly improved. Start time, load times, file copy times all are exponentially faster.
