I'm going to be buying an Intel i7-4770k CPU very soon and to begin with I will be keeping it at stock speeds but I'll definitely be looking to over clock in the future but just not right away.

At the moment I've chosen a Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD3H ATX motherboard.
I've done this because it has the capability to run 2 graphics cards as well as a sound card and a Wireless/Bluetooth network card, it has dual channel memory up to 32GB which is more than enough for me, 6 natively controlled SATA and 2 extra SATA as i can see myself using several SSD's and HDD's in the future and it has a ridiculous amount of USB 3.0's onboard and on the I/O which is another important thing for me.

My question is, is this the best board i can buy within the $150-$200 range? Will it allow me to over clock in the future if i choose to or is there another Z87 ATX motherboard that is better or more suited to my needs?
I understand Asus and Msi also have amazing boards out at the moment but i'm not too keen on the gold in Asus' new boards because i am planning to have blue LED's and fans but obviously its not the most important factor.

Thanks in advance for any help!

At this point, the only difference would be features (bluetooth, usb ports, etc.) & aesthetics. Personally I'd go with the Asus for the simple fun fact of "Sonic Radar"... which I highly recommend you look up if you're into a little First-person shooters ;) hehe... Trust me you'll...
best motherboard for that price range would be a Asus Maximus VI Hero, as you are going to OC later on, this ROG board is designed for that and will do much better then the Gigabyte one you listed.

This board supports 3000Mhz memory module speed, which is pretty insane

Multi-GPU (SLI) in X16/X8 mode (same as X8/X8)

same number of native SATA 6GB/s ports (6)

If you have any queries regarding this motherboard just ask and I'll gladly help.

If you get that motherboard it'll look far beter with red LED's, just to say to change your mind. PS. I have 23cm red LED fan in my case and they look awesome.

I agree with unknownofprob, & the ROG mobo series is top of the line for gaming & overclocking plus a reliable brand, I use a maximus vi extreme & like he said, the color scheme is awesome!

I did like this board a LOT and i am definitely considering it now. i was also planning on getting the light kit for my Corsair dominator platinum memory and at the moment they only have that in Blue, i think i'm going to have to rethink the colour scheme of my build.
Thanks for the help :)

I will definitely be playing some First person shooters and so the sonic radar sounds epic! Aesthetics is important to me too so it's not shallow :p
