We have 2 computers on our net work. One a ;lap top with wireless capabilities and the other a desk top model. When one of the computers is in use on the internet the other cannot access the internet and there is a message that says that Windows has detected a computer with the same IP address. Checks were made and what was noted is the the D-Link router kept changing the IP address for the desk top every 5 minutes.

Did you try changing the DHCP lease time in the router? Also verify your DHCP address pool. Others may be able to offer more assistance if you list the model of D-Link router you have.
