Hi, I've recently built this PC around two months ago, everything was working fine until I wanna say last week. Well first off I broke two fan blades off one of the front fans, but it doesn't sound like this ticking noise I'm getting is from that. It sounds like my top front exhaust fan is making a ticking noise. But first it was a loud Tick-Tick-Tick like if something was blocking the airflow. Now it's just making a constant low ticking. What could be causing this? Could it be the broken fan?

More about : fan screwed

Hi, If you haven't already, you need to replace that front fan. With two broken blades, it throws the fan out of balance and will wipe out the bearings, not to mention, you have lost fan efficiancy. A ticking sounds like a fan bearing issue. Fans are relatively inexpensive and I would replace them.

I planed on replacing them. What fan brand would you recommend getting?

I am using Cooler Master in here, but Gelid is good. The main thing is to look for a good CFM rating. The higher the number, the better.
