I'm all set to build a gaming pc (here it is: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Landru/saved/4iiG), but I am a bit concerned about the weight of the nh-d14. I know that it shouldn't be a problem just sitting on a desk, but I'm going to be taking it to and from Cornell several times a year for the next four years, and I'm wondering if that might damage the motherboard. If it is a problem, can anybody recommend an alternative with the same performance (I suppose it would have to be a water cooler, as any comparable air cooler is probably just as heavy). Noise isn't too much of a concern, as I have headphones, but I'd prefer if it didn't sound like a jet engine. Thanks in advance.

If you put it on it's side during transport it should be fine. But if you're too worried, the h100i (http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-cpu-cooler-h100i) is a good alternative AIO water cooler.

Thanks for the reply. I think I'm going to get the h110, because I just don't want to risk it, and the noctua looks really ugly with all of my other nice, red components. I'm getting the 110 over the 100i because it cools almost as well, but it's much quieter.
