Not offhand, but my knowledge is based off following various review sites through the evolution of the cads, from reference to non reference and overclocking. the cooler is not so much important as the hardware underneath once cooling needs have been met. The 780 in general overclocks better than the 290 chip once both have been cooled adequatly. Given the price difference, it does become harder for me to recommend the 780 over the 290 as the price increase does not quite make the performance gap very important.
the 780 will outperform the 290, but the price difference makes the 290 a very attractive option. If you want to save some money, i would probably say to go with the 290, but if you want max performance, especially after overclocking, the 780 is the way to go (especially with the performance gains from the newer drivers)
