You will have a tough time telling the difference, I would get the IPS screen, colors look better.
My IPS screen has an over 10ms response time, but never had anyone complain about lag or ghosting.

Nothing like that, my son uses the XBOX360 for twitch games.
RPGs on the computer, World of Warcraft, Rift, things like that. Have played Half Life 2 and Halo, things like that with no issues, but not the things like Battlefield / COD.

Don't know if YOU will, I am happy with my IPS monitor at over 10ms response.
Lower response time is better, but if you can tell the difference in the display between 2 and 7ms if very iffy. And since the IPS screens in general have better picture quality, you may be happier with the IPS screen.
