I have a 770 GTX 4GB will it cope with 1440p or stick with 1080p?

So I'm looking to get a new monitor as I've been using my 32" TV for 2 years but want to go back to using a monitor due to getting headaches from the TV lately.

However I recently (around 6 months ago) got my 770 GTX so I'm not looking to upgrade the card until the 800 series. Can the 770 cope with 1440p monitors on max settings in games or would I be better off getting a 1080p monitor.

or as an alternative get a 1440p monitor and use at 1080p for the mean time until the 800 series then use it at 1440p

Any advice would be great.

In most games gtx 770 is going to handle 1440p very well, but still in many games it is not going to perform well with 1440p and max details. This video explains everything pretty thoroughly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Z6e0UtPZY0.
If I were you, I would go for 1080p.

Hope I helped.
