Dear Experts,

I have got a new drive as old one is gone. But when I am plugging it in, it is not showing as neither master or slave and in windows 7 installation it is saying ... " No Drives found "

What am i doing wrong ?

New Hard Disk : WD10EZEX WD 1TB
Motherboard: Gigabyte H55 S2v

Do i need to get some drivers or what ? Can someone help me. I am stuck right now !

Yes, in BIOS it is not detected only my CD drive is detected. I have tried inserting it into different SATA ports on motherboard. Still no luck... I have just got it new today.

Moreover when i am using the same SATA port and cable to my old hard disk it is getting detected. But only problem is it has bad sectors so i cant install windows on it, otherwise it detects fine.

Also, the new one is 6GBPs 64MB buffer and old one is 3GBPs 12MB buffer, motherboard supports 3GBPS
