How to stop programmes from running win Win 7 basic

Hi

I have a number of programes (FSX, Adobe Audition to name two) which when I start them,
they revert the system into Windows basic - which I don't like!!

Is there any way of preventing them from running in the basic mode, and staying in the 'Professional' mode etc?

The most usual cause is that the application in question is not compatible with Windows Aero scheme, so it switches the scheme to Basic.

I'm guessing you're not using the latest versions of those applications as I would think that compatibility issue has been fixed now. There may even be a free application update which fixes it if your versions are recent ones.
